PAM ENGELS

Piano

Pam Engels received a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Illinois State University. She passed the CPA exam and worked as an accountant until leaving the field to be a full-time mother to her daughter and son who have since grown to be adults.  

Pam studied piano with Dr. Carlyn Morenus, Dr. Patricia Whikehart, Myrtle Lawrence and Richard Snow. She returned to Illinois State University for continuing education and completed a piano pedagogue class in the 2013 Spring Semester.  

Pam is employed part-time by LaSalle-Peru Township High School as a choral accompanist and St. John’s Lutheran Church as a church pianist/organist and accompanist. She has accompanied numerous musicals, solo and ensemble contests, and weddings. 

Pam Engels served two terms as treasurer for the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra. She lives in Peru with her husband, Rich and her dog, Trixie.
