Inna Chesney, Piano

Inna was born in Zaporozie Ukraine. In 1970,  at the age of eight,  she attended Odessa, Ukraine State Music school where the curriculum included studies in classical piano, music theory, music literature, solfeggio, and choir. In May 1977, following a certificate of completion, she succesfully passed several entry exams and in September 1977, attended Odessa, Ukraine State Music College specializing in choir conducting. By the decree of the State Qualification Board in June 24, 1982, Inna was awarded Qualification of choir conductor, High School vocal teacher and musical school teacher. She has 16 years experience, as a music, choir, and dance teacher for Pre, Elementary and High schools and has organized students to perform for concerto and choral events in school and events for deligations from Germany, Hungary, Finland and the United States. My elementary school students were awarded First Place in local Odessa competitions. In Russia, my High school students were awarded first place in local competitions.  Additionally Inna taught private piano lessons for ten years in Ukraine and Russia.   She came to the USA in December of 1998. From 2000-2017, she had a piano studio giving lessons in  Bureau and Lasalle counties. She was active in the community performing with her students at the LaSalle Veterans Home, Greenfield Assisted Living Home in Princeton and the Standard Senior Center.  She taught piano lessons at Valley Music in LaSalle and has 29 years experience and joined the educators at Music Suite 408 in 2023.
