Trombone, Low/High Brass, Trombone Choir & Percussion Fundamentals
Joe Cook is a trombone player who has been playing for 13 years and is a graduate of VanderCook College of Music with a degree in music education. He will serve as the K-8 general music music and band director at Tonica Elementary School. Joe's playing experience ranges from playing jazz gigs in big band and combo settings to playing in orchestras and wind ensembles, but his favorite is chamber music whether it is a trombone quartet, brass quartet or a full trombone choir. He has been teaching private lessons since he was a senior in high school for high/low brass students and has taught masterclass style classes for big band trombone sections in schools across the Chicagoland area.
